Books You Want to Finally Read in 2017
-These are those books you meant to read in 2016 or 2015 or 2014 and never got around to. Those books that have been sitting on your TBR for a while, and you really want to get to. These aren’t upcoming 2017 releases; these are older books that need your love too!
One of my goals for 2017 is to read all of the books I have had on my shelves for years. I’m thinking of doing the challenge where you only buy one new book for every 3 books you read.
The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss
This book has been on my TBR shelves for years now, but I’m scared to pick it up because of its size. I have heard great things about it, and I think I would love this book too. I really need and want to read it in 2017.
Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson
This is also a series that I have heard great things about. I really want to read this series. It sounds really interesting, and the covers are beautiful.
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
I have owned a copy of this classic for a long time. I have planned to read it many times, but I always forget about it. It is a short and small book so it gets lost besides the bigger books on my shelves.
The Lord Of The Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien
I bought a box set with The Hobbit and The Lord Of The Rings a couple of years ago. I read The Hobbit, but didn’t read the other books. It is time to finally read The Lord of The Rings.
The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher
I read first books in the series back in 2014, and the second in 2015. I actually bought book 5-10 yesterday. I bought them used from a guy on Facebook, so now I have to continue with the series.
Oooh I love all those. Well except the Jim Butcher because I haven’t read it. But Patrick Rothfuss … must read!

You have to read Name of the Wind! It’s soooo good! I finished both books a long time ago and have been eagerly anticipating book 3. Feels like he will never finish it. Maybe you shoukd wait until the last book comes out. ☺️

I know, I have to read it 🙂 It’s just so daunting because of its size. I don’t know why I think like that, because it isn’t really that big.

The third book, I read A Wise Man’s Fear as soon as it came out, and I’ve been waiting since. Hopefully the last book will be a masterpiece beyond measure when we finally receive it.

The Name of the Wind is one of my all time favourite books! The Lord of the Rings is such a masterpiece, and the language beautiful. The Final Empire has to be one of the best books I’ve read this year (I read the whole Mistborn trilogy during spring, I should continue with the later novels…) You have an awesome year to look forward to 😀

I wasn’t a fan of Lord of the Rings (very long-winded) or Fahrenheit 451 (I’d have preferred something with more dragons, less societal decay), but I hope you love them! Mistborn gets two thumbs up from me, though. Looking forward to hearing what you think of them all! =)
