Kindle eBook Haul

I have bought some books for my Kindle the last months. All of them minus one was on sales. I can’t contain myself when a book I want to read is only 1-3 dollars on Kindle. Even if I’m not planning on reading them any time soon. I guess I can call myself a Kindle hoarder. If you are looking for kindle deals follow me on Twitter LINK ❤ , I always post a link there whenever I come across a good deal.

The Enchanted by Rene Denfeld

Goodreads Synopsis: A wondrous and redemptive debut novel, set in a stark world where evil and magic coincide, The Enchanted combines the empathy and lyricism of Alice Sebold with the dark, imaginative power of Stephen King.

“This is an enchanted place. Others don’t see it, but I do.”

The enchanted place is an ancient stone prison, viewed through the eyes of a death row inmate who finds escape in his books and in re-imagining life around him, weaving a fantastical story of the people he observes and the world he inhabits. Fearful and reclusive, he senses what others cannot. Though bars confine him every minute of every day, he marries magical visions of golden horses running beneath the prison, heat flowing like molten metal from their backs, with the devastating violence of prison life…. more on Goodreads

Bird Box by Josh Malerman

Goodreads Synopsis: Something is out there, something terrifying that must not be seen. One glimpse of it, and a person is driven to deadly violence. No one knows what it is or where it came from.

Five years after it began, a handful of scattered survivors remains, including Malorie and her two young children. Living in an abandoned house near the river, she has dreamed of fleeing to a place where they might be safe. Now that the boy and girl are four, it’s time to go, but the journey ahead will be terrifying: twenty miles downriver in a rowboat–blindfolded–with nothing to rely on but her wits and the children’s trained ears. The international hit that inspired the video game: The Witcher.

My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand & Brodi Ashton & Jodi Meadows

Goodreads Synopsis: The comical, fantastical, romantical, (not) entirely true story of Lady Jane Grey. In My Lady Jane, coauthors Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows have created a one-of-a-kind fantasy in the tradition of The Princess Bride, featuring a reluctant king, an even more reluctant queen, a noble steed, and only a passing resemblance to actual history—because sometimes history needs a little help.

At sixteen, Lady Jane Grey is about to be married off to a stranger and caught up in a conspiracy to rob her cousin, King Edward, of his throne. But those trifling problems aren’t for Jane to worry about. Jane is about to become the Queen of England.

But when he sets out to find the author’s other works, he makes a shocking discovery: someone has been systematically destroying every copy of every book Carax has written. In fact, Daniel may have the last of Carax’s books in existence. Soon Daniel’s seemingly innocent quest opens a door into one of Barcelona’s darkest secrets–an epic story of murder, madness, and doomed love.

September Book Haul

This is a haul of the books I have bought the last months. Now my bookshelves are very full. I have to reorganize them soon to make more space.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan

I bought the whole Percy Jackson series in a box set. I’m really looking forward to read this series. I was in the mood for middle grade fantasy. And When I think of middle grade fantasy, I immediately think of this series. I didn’t read this series as a kid. So I had to buy it, and now is the time to read it. I want to read book 1 ASAP.

20160923_195939

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by J.k. Rowling, John Tiffany and Jack Thorne & This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab

I have already read The Cursed Child and gave it 3.5 out of 5 stars.

This Savage Song came out in July, so not that long ago. I loved Vicious by Victoria Schwab, so I have high hopes for this new series.

20160923_200127

Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin & Fablehaven by Brandon Mull

Wolf by Wolf sounded interesting.

I had this craving to read middle grade fantasy. So I also bought Fablehaven.

20160923_200244

The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare & Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare

I have finished the whole The Mortal Instrument series. But I don’t want to be finished with the Shadowhunter universe. So I bought The Bane Chronicles. It is 11 short stories of Magnus Bane’s life. Lady Midnight is the first book in a new series, also in the Shadowhunter universe.

20160923_200449

Odinsbarn by Siri Pettersen & Råta by Siri Pettersen

This is a Norwegian fantasy book trilogy. I have heard a lot of good things about this trilogy so I had to buy it. Plus it was on a sale. And it has been nominated and won a lot of literary prizes. I think so far it has only been published in Scandinavia.

Hollow City by Ransom Riggs & Library Of Souls by Ransom Riggs

I read the first book and liked it. I think I’m going to read these two books in October. You know, like a spooky read for Halloween season. I don’t like too scary things. So these are perfect.
